This film will be followed by a post-performance discussion about Mexican film featuring curator Carlos Gutierrez, Professor David Wilt of George Washington University and the University of Maryland, and Dr. Barbara Tenenbaum of the Library of Congress. The three will discuss the evolution of Mexican cinema from the 1940’s to today, and specifically focusing on the changing roles of superstardom and celebrity in Mexican film. 9pm.
