GALA’s acclaimed flamenco festival is back for its ninth year! Fuego Flamenco IX is an exploration of traditional flamenco, its breadth and diversity through contemporary expressions, and its impact in the United States.
Up next is the United States premiere of Templanza, performed by the sensual duo José Jurado and Isabel Rodríguez from Madrid. Don’t miss this passionate and sensuous display of contemporary flamenco with two of Spain’s hottest and most promising young performers as they bring their unique blend of modern-day sensibilities to the traditional Tablao. Rodriguez and Jurado play off of one another with an electrifying sensuality and visual complexity that takes this highly passionate art form to a whole new level.
In addition, this Saturday, November 16, come see the special screening of the documentary Sobre las Olas – A History of Flamenco in the U.S.
