As you plan for the upcoming school year, we invite you to join us for a student matinee performance of GALita, our imaginative children’s theatre company. This season, GALita will present two enchanting bilingual plays based on literary works by renowned Spanish writers.

Platero y yo

Directed by Cornelia Cody

A young poet and his donkey Platero deepen their friendship as they encounter changing seasons, children, eccentrics and gypsies in the Andalusian countryside. A poignant classic by one of the greatest writers of modern Spanish literature!

Las aventuras de Don Quijote de La Mancha

Based on the novel by Miguel de Cervantes (Spain)
Directed by Hugo Medrano

With his sidekick Sancho Panza, a chivalrous Spanish gentleman from La Mancha takes up
his lance and sword to defend the helpless as he rides in search of glory and grand adventure.
An ingenious adaptation of the timeless novel by Cervantes!

**Weekday student matinees for Don Quijote are March 18-28, 2013 at 10:30 am.**

• A study guide with vocabulary relating to the play’s theme;
• Student group rate of $10 per ticket;
• Free educator ticket per every 20 students who attend the performance.
