GALA Hispanic Theatre’s family of volunteers is vital to its mission and operations. If you want to contribute your time and talent to support GALA and GALita presentations, please let us know.  Whether you’re an adult looking to have fun and meet other adults interested in the arts, a college student looking to enhance your resume, or a high school student looking to fulfill your community service requirement.

Ushers - MEET, GREET AND SEAT:  Contribute to GALA and Enjoy a Great Show
Become a volunteer usher for GALA shows and see live professional theater FOR FREE!
Volunteer ushers help prepare the theatre for a performance; stuff programs; collect tickets; greet, seat and provide programs to patrons; and manage coat check for GALA and GALita performances.
GALA performances are generally Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 8 pm and Sundays at 3 pm.  GALita performances are Saturdays at 3 pm.  Ushers should arrive at the theater no later than one hour before show time. We prefer that our Ushers Corps commit to a minimum of two performances per run of the show.

SPREAD THE WORD: Contribute to GALA and Meet Other People Who Love the Arts 
Administrative and Management Volunteers help with such activities as mailings, distribution of flyers, and various projects at the GALA office. Administrative volunteers receive complimentary tickets to GALA shows (determined by the number of hours worked). Although basic conversational Spanish is considered desirable, there is no language requirement for administrative and management volunteers.
